eCity’s Web-based Inventory Management Software provides planning, and control of diverse inventories at facilities across the enterprise. Tight integration of eCity planning and inventory software applications ensures that the right product is in the right place at the right time. eCity constantly monitors supply and demand across your supply chain - taking action to keep inventory at target levels.

Facilities can be offices, stockrooms, manufacturing plants, satellite warehouses or large distribution centers. Processing rules are set for each facility and can range from simple stock control to advanced warehouse management. Transactions can be entered on a standard browser or using wireless radio frequency scanners.

The eCity supply chain planner allows you to maintain optimal inventory levels at each location based on current balances, the demand forecast and the planning rules you have established. The planner enhances purchasing efficiency by automatically releasing or proposing supply orders.

Supply Chain and Forecasting:

The key to inventory planning is an accurate demand forecast. eCity’s forecasting module captures “true demand” and prepares a forecast. Review your forecast, make adjustments and send to the planner for an optimal schedule of planned supply orders.

“True Demand” excludes non-recurring demand and reflects the demanded product and date (not necessarily the item shipped or issued). Promotional demand is kept separate allowing you to asses the effect of a promotion and adjusts the forecast.

The forecast is prepared by applying a number of easily understand models to the demand and using the model that best fits recent demand. The result is a forecast your inventory planner can understand without requiring the knowledge of complex statistical formulas.

High level features of the Supply Chain planning and Forecasting include:

Weekly or monthly forecasts
Separate forecasts for key customers
Capture “true” demand
Track promotional demand
Drill back to order lines
Flag “extraordinary” demand
Easily understood “focus forecasting” technique
Automatic model selection (best fit)
Manual model selection
Override system forecast
Forecast review and approval process
Forecast consumption logic

Inventory Management:

eCity provides the functionality to efficiently manage and monitor your inventory for all types of products in all types of facilities.

Support is provided for both serialized and lot controlled items. Inventory descriptors can be added to these items (e.g. potency %, QA result). The descriptors themselves are user defined by type of product.

Processing needs often vary by facility. In a small stock room it may be efficient to store products in one or more fixed locations and confirm transactions from paper based lists. In large warehouses, flexible stock locators, system directed tasks and radio frequency capabilities are often essential.

eCity allows you to optimize efficiency by defining operational requirements at the facility level. This includes rules for inbound (receive, inspect and put away), outbound (pick, pack, ship) and in-warehouse (count, location replenishment) processes.
