ERP SOFTWARE COMPANIES Part V
How ERP Software Companies Successfully Advertise Their Products
With the media being the most important and viable form of global communication, the market visibility of ERP software companies could be significantly enhanced and expanded- particularly through the use of TV media tools such as commercials and ads. Why TV and not the Internet? Admittedly, the Internet is still clearly a very valuable tool for the exchange of information and networking, and as one of the fastest growing industries in the world (if not the most important and globally influential) there is no doubt that it affords more access to information for the public than TV media sources do.
However, like the international IT market, it is also becoming more and more frequently saturated with too many products, services, buyers and sellers. It is due to this very reason that, while access to the Internet provides increasing benefits to the public and individual ERP software companies by increasing market visibility as well as the degree of transparency in corporate internal affairs, it also falls prey to increased competition over time. As a direct result, the market reach and visibility of the goods decreases, along with public access to information about the company and the services it offers.
Demographically, it can be assumed that most households, especially low-income families, have greater access to a TV than they do to a computer. One of the reasons is because TV technology has a longer history than the Internet and is also more affordable, not to mention the costs involved in buying and maintaining the proper software platforms and programs which are required for the efficient running of PC or Mac. This is especially true considering that the more the IT market continues to evolve, products and updates are presented to the public at a faster rate than ever before.
Another determining factor which limits public access to the World Wide Web and Internet technology in general is the development of innovative technologies, which continues to accelerate at a progressive rate. What this means is that the system will make it progressively harder for lower income consumers to keep up with software upgrades and newer versions provided by ERP software companies.
Based on these factors- and justifiably-, investing the majority of a company’s resources and revenues on TV ads and commercials today is still a very brilliant and intelligent business marketing strategy, and will prove to be very beneficial to small ERP software companies (both in the short and in the long-run), reinforcing their life-span on the global market stage.
