SAP Continues to be a Strong Competitor in the Wholesale Distribution ERP Market

SAP recently announced an Arabic SAP Business All-in-One Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP solution.  This version is a prepackaged solution for the wholesale distribution industry and the consumer products industry.  The wholesale distribution ERP market in the Middle East and North Africa will now have a strong competitor to contend with.

SAP has been in the Enterprise Resource Planning market for over thirty years.  They are headquartered in Germany with offices located all over the world.  SAP has competed with Oracle to be named the top Enterprise Resource Planning vendor in the world.  SAP stands for Systems, Applications, Products.  SAP currently has over one hundred thousand customers ranging in size and industry.  This ERP giant has more than eight hundred customers in the Middle East and North Africa region.  The Arabic version of SAP Business All-in-One is bound to bring in an even greater customer base.

Customers who purchase SAP’s Arabic wholesale distribution ERP solution will be able to implement the solution in a timely and cost effective manner.  SAP is hoping that the implementation time will be as quick as twelve weeks.  The prepackaged solution will be sold at a fixed price that may offer a quick return on investment.  SAP’s wholesale distribution ERP solution follows the industry’s best practices.  These best practices may enable businesses in the Middle East and North Africa to reduce costs, address business needs, enable growth and become more efficient and more competitive.

The wholesale distribution industry in the Middle East and North Africa has been growing rapidly.  SAP currently controls about forty percent of the market in this region.  Oracle controls about forty percent as well.  Other Enterprise Resource Planning vendors with a presence in the Middle East and North Africa include: Baan, Microsoft, Orion, and JDA.

Gartner, a leading research and advisory firm, has predicted that the total revenue for ERP solutions in 2011 will be approximately two hundred and fifty billion dollars.  And, by 2014 businesses will spend around three hundred billion dollars on Enterprise Resource Planning solutions.  SAP is poised and waiting for their piece of the three hundred billion dollars.  And, it looks like they will get a piece of the Middle East and North African Enterprise Resource Planning market.
