ERP SoftwareCompany ERP SoftwareEnterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems are applications which integrate all the parallel business processes and diverse data sources of a company into a central, information-sharing system. ERP systems are a very important tool for companies trying to separate themselves from the competition. The problem is that ERP software is expensive, and at this time, most businesses are trying to cut costs. Nevertheless, while there are less expensive and lower-risk alternatives to buying ERP software in order to better manage a business, none of them will have as marked a Return on Investment. The list of ERP Software Companies is long. Companies like Microsoft, Sage, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Net Suite have familiar names due to their longevity, but because the market for ERP has shown no sign of maxing out -new ERP Software companies continue to emerge. Some have been around, but are now trying to find a niche in the worldwide ERP software market. And both are coming out with competitive and worthwhile ERP systems. One example of this type of newly surfacing company is Lombardi Software, founded in 2000. Their Lombardi Teamworks 7.0 can deliver all-inclusive functionality with extraordinary usability. The product is also able to help progressive users with tools in more intricate tasks such as: business rule definition, multiform creation, and process performance analysis and improvement. As a result, even though many ERP Software companies saw decreased revenues in 2009, Lombardi Software showed demonstrative revenue growth. An example of an ERP software company that has been around for a while, but is now trying to re-define itself with new products is Pronto Software Pty Ltd. Most recently, this company began to put considerable energy into finding a foothold in the North American market. Previously, Pronto had concentrated its efforts on the mid-size ERP market in Australia. It had a well established number of customers with strengths in manufacturing, importer distributors, integrated retail, facilities and services, and mining. The new system being sold in North America is Phase 6. Pronto Phase 6 is extremely flexible and customizable without changing core code and it carries with it the guaranteed strong consulting practices, implementation services, and customer support always provided by Pronto. A third example is provided by Demand Solutions. While this software company has been around since 1985, it has recently decided to place focus and attention on requirements needed by industry and vertical specialization instead of striving to work on everything in the supply chain space. |
