ERP SoftwareWhat to Expect From Enterprise Software Companies in 2011Enterprise Software Companies and consulting firms alike are predicting and preparing for the market for enterprise software solutions to increase throughout 2011. Even though the United States along with the rest of the world is experiencing tough economic times, enterprise software sales are increasing. In fact, SAP had an incredible fourth quarter and beat their expected earnings. IBM also had a profitable fourth quarter. Enterprise Software Companies made oodles of money in 2010. The estimated amount of monies spent on enterprise software solutions in 2010 was about one hundred and ten billion dollars, which is an increase from 2009. The leading research and advisory firm, Gartner, is predicting that the total revenue for enterprise software in 2011 will top the charts at around two hundred and fifty billion dollars. Gartner also predicts that by 2014 customers will spend around three hundred billion dollars on enterprise software solutions. I guess this isn’t such a bad time to be in the enterprise software business. Spending on enterprise software solutions isn’t just going to increase in North America. We are going to see spending increase on these solutions all over the world. Asia is a relatively untapped market with huge manufacturing plants in need of some type of enterprise solution. Some Enterprise Software Companies have already invested in enterprise solutions that can accommodate languages used in China like Mandarin and Guoya. Another country and continent that many Enterprise Software Companies have already tapped is Australia. Australia is doing quite well economically and has quite a bit of industry. Many of the big Enterprise Software Companies have offices established in many cities all over Australia. You can expect Enterprise Software Companies to grow more functionality and offer multiple platforms to deliver their solutions. The successful Enterprise Software Companies will offer SaaS (software as a service) or cloud solutions and on-demand solutions. These companies will continue to cater to specific industries and verticals. Enterprise Software Companies will also make their applications easier to implement and use. Customers don’t want to spend years implementing a solution that is difficult to use. User-friendly solutions will be a key to success. One thing is certain about 2011 and that is that the United States economy will continue to crawl its way out of the recent economic recession. Kudos to the United States! |
