ERP MarketThe All New Box.net is Out of the Box and into the MarketAn enterprise cloud storage provider called Box.net recently announced their newly designed CMS (Content Management) and collaboration solution. More specifically, Box’s solutions provide document management, project management, FTP replacement, managed file transfer, data rooms, and online file systems. Box.net’s solution is a cloud-based system that has recently been redesigned. The interface is all new and there are several new features. Box.net’s newly redesigned Box solution is sure to take Box.net out of the Box and into the competitive marketplace. Box.net has also partnered with some Enterprise Software Companies to attempt to lure in a greater customer base. The Enterprise Software Companies that have partnered with Box.net are NetSuite, VMware, and Samsun. Each of these partners will benefit greatly as Box.net’s solution, which will enhance their solutions. Of course Box.net will benefit from these partnerships because they will get more marketing and make more sales. It seems to me that this is a win win situation for these Enterprise Software Companies and Box.net. There are two versions of the Box solution available today. One version is free, yes free, and offers customers five gigabytes of storage. The version that customers can pay for offers an unlimited amount of storage. Box.net’s overall goal was to make their CMS and collaboration solution sleeker, more efficient, more user-friendly, easier to integrate, less complex and more marketable. Speaking of marketing; Box.net advertised their solution on their gigantic billboard located in the Silicon Valley. Box.net has more in store as they plan to continue to develop more features and functionality for their solution. And, box is well suited for mobile devices. In fact, the company has had over two hundred and fifty thousand downloads onto iPhones and iPads and over seventy thousand downloads onto Android tablets in quarter four of 2010. Box.net is located in Palo Alto, California. Box.net was founded in 2005. Since Box.net began, they have provided solutions to over three million people including small businesses, medium sized businesses and Fortune 1000 companies. If customers opt for the limitless storage option, the Box solution will cost around fifteen dollars per month per user or more. Box.net offers a free trial. If you are interested in the Box solution, you should definitely take advantage of the free trial offer. Box.net also has a demo of their solution on their website. |
