Enterprise Software Companies Make It Better for Customers
Enterprise Software Companies are taking a financial hit as the economy recovers from the recent recession. However, 2010 was better in terms of profits for Enterprise Software Companies than 2009. And analysts are predicting that 2011 will be even more profitable than 2010. However, this news comes as no surprise to Enterprise Software Companies. Enterprise Software Companies have been brainstorming since the recession and today they are compensating for lower earnings in many different ways. Enterprise Software Company, Oracle, is releasing Oracle’s Fusion application product sometime this year. To curb the cost of the entire Fusion solution, Oracle is offering the solution to customers on a module basis. Customers can pick and choose the modules they want instead of dishing out major bucks for the entire solution.
Enterprise Software Company, Sage Group, is also marketing their enterprise software solutions to accommodate the recovering economy. Sage Group is releasing their global X3 Suite with multi-language, multi-currency, and multi-regulatory functionality. Another Enterprise Software Company, called Infor Global Solutions, is releasing a rapid customizing technology so that customers don’t have to spend any extra time or money to deploy the solution. CDC Software offers an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution called Ross ERP. Ross ERP has been revised to handle specific industries. All of these little changes and improvements Enterprise Software Companies make help customers save time and money. Saving time and money enables customers to retain capital to purchase service contracts, upgrades, or modules in the future. These changes and improvements also make Enterprise Software Companies more enticing to customers. The more enticing an Enterprise Software Company is, the more business that company will most likely get. And, we all know that business equals dollars.
Another way Enterprise Software Companies are making money is by offering a hosted or SaaS (software as a service) solution. Hosted solutions cost the customer less because the customer doesn’t have to license the software. And, these solutions are easy to manage by the enterprise software vendor. The downfall to SaaS solutions is that these solutions can’t be customized. However, customizations can be more trouble than they are worth. SaaS solutions generally appeal to small sized and medium sized companies although SaaS and hosted solutions do seem to be the way of the future. It will surely be interesting to see what 2011 brings us.
