Plex Flexes Their ERP Muscles

If you keep up with all of the ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning garb, then you are probably aware of a company called Plex Systems.  Plex Systems has a good reputation in the ERP industry and makes process manufacturing ERP software and discrete manufacturing ERP software.  Plex Systems offers their process manufacturing and discrete manufacturing ERP software solutions as SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud computing solutions.  Today, January fourth 2011, Plex Systems went on the record to say that they have joined forces with Salesforce.com.  If you are a manufacturer and you have the Plex Online (an ERP SaaS) solution as well as the Salesforce.com solution, you are in luck because these two solutions now have the ability to talk to each other.  This interface was enabled by a third party Plex Systems partner called Revolution Group.

Salesforce.com was one of the first entrepreneurs to create a cloud computing product.  They’ve been in business since the 1990s and released their first cloud computing solution in 1999.  Salesforce.com is a successful company earning over a billion dollars annually.  Salesforce.com comes to the table with a comprehensive CRM (Customer Relationship Management) product that will sweeten up the Plex Online Enterprise Resource Planning SaaS solution.  Revolution Group has been a Plex Systems implementation partner and a successful solution implementation business since 1995.  Revolution Group is also a registered Salesforce.com partner.

With these three companies joining forces, competitors had best beware.  In this market where competition is fierce and money is scare, manufacturing ERP software solution providers have to flex their muscles to survive.  However, survival is not the objective.  The objective is to conquer and prevail.  Large manufacturing ERP software solution providers are swallowing up the smaller manufacturing ERP software solution providers.  The smaller manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning software solution providers don’t always have the capital to enhance their products.  Without capital to enhance their products, these smaller manufacturing ERP software solutions providers lose their competitive edge and wilt away in this down economy that is struggling to recover.  If Plex Systems and Salesforce.com competitors want to stay in the game, they will up their anti too and do what they can to sweeten their solutions before they are run out of town.  If the capital isn’t there, perhaps joining hands like Plex Systems, Salesforce.com, and Revolution Group isn’t a bad idea.
