If you are a small business, consider yourself important because small businesses in general have weathered the recent recession better than the mid and large sized businesses.  Small businesses are growing in number and make up a large percent of the profits for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vendors.  In fact, in 2009 small and mid-size businesses made over half the profits for ERP vendors.

A popular small business ERP solution is Microsoft Dynamics as this solution is ranked highly by users.  Some Microsoft Dynamics solutions are; front office ERP, e-business ERP, management control ERP, manufacturing ERP, financial ERP, supply chain ERP, and customer relationship management ERP.  What’s nice about Microsoft products is that they generally all have a similar look and feel.  This familiarity may more easily allow you and your employees to learn how to use the solution.  However, I must tell you that learning how to use a small business ERP solution is the easy part.  The difficult part is selecting the right solution.

There are so many possibilities as far as small business ERP solutions go.  No, you can’t “wish upon a star” or click your ruby red slippers three times and say “there’s no place like home”.  You have to go out and spend your valuable time doing the leg work.  Finding the right small business ERP solution can save you money.  Finding the wrong small business ERP solution will really stink.
