ERP Software Reviews

If you’re planning on looking into Enterprise Resource Planning, it would be smart to get some   EARP software reviews. This is a vigorous marketplace with a lot of players in the mix. Some software vendors specialize in manufacturing or customer relationship marketing, others accounting and supply chain management. Others run the gamut, offering specialized features, or providing a full-service platform for the whole company. The first thing you need to do is to identify your needs and make a determination about what type of package would be best for your company.

You can go online to check out ERP software vendors and you can also ask around. See what other companies that have a similar make up to yours have done with their ERP deployment and how it has gone. And by all means check product reviews. It might be necessary for you to contact a consultant or, an IT professional who has experience with enterprise resource planning. The review process is extremely important, so don’t by any means take it for granted.

You will run across some familiar names when conducting ERP software reviews, like Microsoft for example, Oracle or SAP; but keep in mind that there are a lot of smaller vendors with very good reputations and market share. These would include Web-based vendors such as NetSuite, Consona, Epicor, Plex Systems, Sage, and Salesforce .com, which offers the most popular customer relationship management  (CRM) package. Yet, again, there are many other software vendors whom you might wish to explore. Find out where their strengths are and how they can best service you.

Be careful of those who would steer you in the direction of a favored vendor. That vendor may be great for some, but not so good for you. And this is what you need to determine, first and foremost. Start with a long list of software vendors and then narrow your list down to a group of finalists. When you inquire about the services of the vendor be sure to take note of their customer service and of their enthusiasm about doing business with you. It’s important to work with a vendor who shows a strong interest in setting up your platform.

ERP software reviews can be a big help in breaking down the choices for an ERP software vendor. But of course, you need to go further than just the reviews. Talk to as many people you can about service, applications modules, maintenance and upkeep, system uptime, customization, etc. By doing your homework will greatly improve the chances of finding the system you want.
