Automate You Service Business with Service Business Software
Service business software was engineered to assist you with scheduling, dispatching, tracking service history, tracking service agreements, tracking tools, and tracking equipment by serial number. But, that’s not all service business software does. What’s nice about service business software is that it eliminates redundancies. These redundancies can cost you big time. Because all information goes into a central repository, if a job already exists, you can’t plan for it twice.
Let’s say that you’ve planned to provide a service to demolish an ugly old shed on some lot of land where a brand new building is going to be built. You need your wrecking ball to smash the shed. But, your wrecking ball is nowhere to be found. So, you logon to your service business software and track that wrecking ball down. Your software tells you that the wrecking ball is on a truck bound for your warehouse. Yippee! Hooray! You can start smashing that shed first thing in the morning. Service business software will track your inventory based on location. If your location is moving, like on a truck in this example, you can track that too.
Service business software enables you to easily schedule service calls and create work orders. You can simply store and retrieve customer data including history. Let’s say you plan to go out on a service call, but before you go you decide to bring up the customer history information using your service business software. You see that the customer you’re visiting is a repeat customer. This customer has also spread the word about your services, enabling your business to grow rapidly. So, you decide you’re going to offer your service to this customer at a lower rate. However, you’ll first have to compare the job estimate to the actual costs using your service business software. This was you won’t be out of pocket.
Most service business software is easily customizable to meet your particular business needs. For example, you can create pricing books for the different types of services you offer. Some popular service business software packages include; Aptora, NetSuite, and ServiceCEO. NetSuite’s Enterprise Service Automation product is probably the most well known. Most service business software vendors offer demos on their websites. It’s a good idea to explore these demos to help you find the right service business software package that meets your needs.
