Seeking ERP CRM Software
Before you go about seeking a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution, first determine what you want the software to do. Clarify your business goals in advance so that you have a clear understanding of what you are attempting to solve. For example, do you want to improve customer service? Do you want to increase sales through closer customer contacts? do you want to beef up marketing and track promotional initiatives? Perhaps you want to do all of these things; that’s fine. But these objectives should be mapped out and clearly defined before you go seeking Enterprise Resource Planning ERP CRM software.
What’s great about the expanding market of enterprise resource planning is that the options, configurations, and customization have become so vast, that companies can really pick and choose from a broad selection of business management processing modules that can address any business operational need. And that’s good news, especially in this economy.
But a CRM project requires that you appoint a management team with a strong commitment to get it right. There will be difficult decisions to make and you will need to establish an implementation plan and schedule of events for actually deploying and testing the system. this is important because employees will have to learn to work the software. Lack of user engagement is the number one reason for the failure of CRM systems. So get your people on board. You will have to explain to staff ‘what’s in it for them.’ Let them know it will make their jobs easier and quicker to accomplish; and the convenience of the system will to boost productivity as well. That’s the promise of ERP CRM software.
Can you customize that for me? Every company has their own way of doing things; and enterprise resource planning allows for that. Your management setup may require some tailoring of the software to accommodate the way you work. Also, if you’re integrating the CRM software with other business processes such as accounting, sales and marketing, supply chain management or inventory, you will need to have it tweaked to better suit your needs.
And speaking of needs, think of yours now and for the future. As your company grows you will need for the software to grow with you. Make sure that the software you purchase can be customized and can scale up with you as the business grows. Good ERP CRM software should have no problem with that.
