Of course, various social media sites like Twitter, to provide an example (if not the majority of them), also allow the subscriber to link to the other major media outlets such as Facebook- including MySpace, which is actually a social entertainment network. Since Myspace is a social entertainment network used for the most part by musicians, music promoters, and the like- while Twitter is used by businesses from multiple industries and the general public, this proves that by providing linking and sharing functions to each other’s users updates and/or videos (regardless of the differences in their background and community of users) these social media outlets also respectively promote each other in return- in a sort of cyclical and reciprocal manner, and, in turn, enhancing the visibility and presence of the user and his/her updates, video, or other uploaded content which cross-sections the wide spectrum of internet users coming from the many diverse fields of human activity or interests, and- in the process- exposing these new audiences to said content.

Taking these factors into consideration, we can assume that subscribing to as many social media sites as possible, of multiple kinds and from multiple industries is an extremely valuable strategy for a company wishing to promote its erp software solutions on a global level. Twitter has in fact used this strategy very successfully by deploying services to every industry, no matter what kind; from entertainment to business, manufacturing, and so on.

The following analysis is a detailed overview of the main functions and applications which make Social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn and others like blogs and online discussion forums so important to the promotion and dissemination of erp software solutions as well as related technical expertise.
One of the many effective features enabling the promotion of erp software solutions is known as “embedding.” This option allows the user to literally embed the URL or Web address of the specified content, whether it be a photo of video or just a link that - through proper encoding - the program used by the social media outlet will instantly convert to an acceptable format and allow the user to view the related content in its entirety, instead of just adding a link which one would have to click on and follow for content viewing on another web page. Facebook, for example, allows one to embed Youtube videos in just such a manner.  When a user types in the appropriate box the URL address the software program instantly recognizes and decodes the format used and the video immediately appears visible in the user's profile page.
