Equally significant, within this study dealing with the benefits which sellers of erp software solutions can derive by the use of social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, LinkedIn, but most importantly of all Youtube, are the sharing options which allows the user to connect or link together the persons other accounts with the other most popular social media outlets. ERP Software SolutionsHow Companies Can Enhance the Promotion of their ERP Software Solutions Through the Use of Popular Social Media Sites like Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, and Through Less-Known Social Media Networks Such as Blogs and Discussion Forums (Part III)For example, Youtube gives the subscriber the option to connect their Youtube account to Facebook, Twitter, Reader, Orkut, and Myspace (provided they have individual accounts for these as well). The visibility of the product- which is another essential inherent feature of erp software solutions in the promotion of the company’s market presence and business growth – is increased significantly thanks to these sharing options, which are used by almost all the social media outlets, forums and discussion blogs on the market. They give the subscriber the advantage of being seen by the network of “friends” one has acquired in each respective page on their other accounts with the other sites the user has subscribed to. So, if a potential client or a vendor of erp software solutions wants to increase their market visibility and global influence to penetrate foreign markets and attract new customer audiences or business clients, a very adequate strategy is setting up multiple, and as many accounts as possible on the various social media and other networking sites, and start adding “friends” (to use internet jargon). This will result in the major advantage of connecting also all the networks of friends from the other social media and networking outlets, which will in turn maximize exposure to other websites and to their subscriber base, who also offer sharing options, and will link them to other previously undiscovered social media networks, thus increasing the subscriber’s advertising potential and exposure in progressive fashion over time. Discussion forums and blogs where customers can express their opinions on the quality of the product or service, are also used by small businesses and the public and customer service sectors. Domino's pizza, for example, recently this year (2011) has set up just such types of blog spots and forums comprising customer reviews of the pizza selections and related items. And through the use of traditional yet still popular and extremely efficient media sources such as TV commercials, is encouraging customers to make suggestions regarding the ingredients for use in certain menu items or any other advice customers may have on how to improve Domino's quality of service. Domino's has encouraged this practice only because it is a recent trend which has been developing and progressively growing in the customer service industry (as well as among many other multiple industries), thanks to the global deployment of erp software solutions to help businesses of any kind all over the globe. The franchise has therefore adequately latched on to the ever growing influence -over the years- of customer inquiries and customer demand for “upgrades” in better service, product variety, quality and cost, improving its relationship with customers and, most important of all, communicating directly with them through these networking blog sites and forums. This has had the positive result of revamping the standard vendor/customer relationship model adopted as the norm in the industry, and strengthening the bond with their customers- as is the case with erp software companies and their customer base. |
