A further advantage of Online software is the opportunity for a company to get started without paying huge start up costs. With Online CRM, a company can use the system and then decide if it should upgrade to a paid version. Free CRM does not contain complex features that, in reality, very few businesses will ever use. Instead, the design is simple enough that employees can begin to use it without the need for extensive and expensive training. CRM SoftwareOnline CRM, Part III The data gathered in an Online CRM system will help a business target more preferred customers. An analysis using an Online CRM could reveal, for example, that single males between thirty to thirty-five years of age that earn between fifty thousand and sixty thousand a year are the best type of customer for the business. With that information from the CRM software, the business can then buy a list from a direct mail list broker of all the single men that fit that description, which can be used to target special marketing toward them. The Online CRM software is able to improve a business’ relationship with the customers; and this helps keep customers more faithful to the company and buy more from that same company. This, of course, will end up improving the profitability of the business. There are many good Online CRM software programs available. FreeCRM.com is a very popular free CRM system and will no doubt cover a company’s needs for sales lead management. Using CRM as an online system, or CRM that is free open source software, is also an excellent way to manage sales leads. This system is an online or web-based service so you do not need to download any software. It also makes it easy to access from any computer when you are away from your office. A second choice of Online CRM service is SalesForce.com. The important thing to remember with this particular service, though, is that the Personal Edition is free for one user only. Zoho.com offers a free online CRM solution for one to three users. One reason many small businesses have selected Zoho software is that it includes a range of features such as an ingetrated inventory management system. Vtiger is an example of Online CRM that is available for both the Windows and Linux systems. It also offers many features that were specifically developed for small to medium sized businesses. No matter which software system is chosen, Online CRM software data should be backed up often and ideally just like traditional software systems. In fact, it is best if a fault-tolerance system is put in place. A fault tolerance system allows a company to continue to use the Online software even if the provider has system problems. While it is true that Online CRM software can be a vital component to a business’ overall CRM strategy, everyone in the company -in all departments and functions of the business- needs to understand CRM and behave appropriately or CRM will not work. |
