Clearly, and as gathered from the previous part of this article series, the wide-spread, across the board, viral dissemination of ERP technical expertise and technological knowledge of the various types of ERP software systems on the market, is highly significant and central for the success of start-up businesses and small companies, especially in an increasingly saturated market which today is becoming overinflated with too many products and ERP software systems to choose from.

ERP Software Systems

A Comparison of the Similarities and Differences Between ERP Software Vendors in the U.S. (Part IV)

Further Observations Regarding the Open and Widespread Propagation of ERP Technology Information and Technical Expertise

The natural and spontaneous interchange and exchange of ERP system information is a natural process that characterizes the ERP industry, made possible thanks to the implementation of ERP software systems and resulting from the subsequent transformation of the organization’s corporate structure- and the total revision and redefining of the “division of labor” model which was used as the basis for Industrialization in the early stages of the Industrial Revolution.

The value and impact of this homogeneous dissemination of information on small companies is evident. It helps in training smaller, less-technically proficient ERP software companies or any small business from other industries that may be interested in applying ERP system solutions (including enterprises from other non-IT related markets like manufacturing- or which are only peripherally involved in partnerships with various participants such as an ERP associative cluster, or are part of a merger) in the art of conducting successful marketing operations and advertising campaigns meant to increase the latter's visibility and presence. It also helps participants that may be only interested in focusing on only one single aspect of ERP system implementation, and/or may wish to employ the services of entities like consulting firms from an ERP cooperative or consortium.

To illustrate the process of how ERP technical information is shared openly- thanks also to the visibility of company functions and market operations which is afforded by the use of ERP software systems – the following section will compare some of the most important and ERP vendors in the U.S. which have a long history of technological and ERP software system development behind them: Among these we find Net Suite, the Unicode Consortium, American Software Inc., and SAP. A detailed analysis of the similarities and differences between these examples, will be useful to demonstrate how ERP systems integration and implementation maximizes a company’s market potential  and global presence in international markets; helping it to diversify and increase its influence on the global stage through the essential processes of product customization for multiple target audiences and clienteles (the determinants for successful ERP deployment).
