The ingenuity of combining ERP CRM software is that one system is capable of both making customers happy and earning money for the business. The approach is an overall strategy that aids businesses in learning more about their customers’ buying behavior and utilizing that knowledge to make more sales.

ERP Software

There are many technological components to CRM, but its main goal is to help employees quickly and comprehensively understand the values and behaviors of customers. That information helps build a stronger relationship, which from a business perspective can lead to more precise target marketing and improved customer loyalty. With this strategy, employees can use the data generated by CRM ERP software to manage campaigns and generate sales leads. Although the ability to merge ERP and CRM is important, most businesses purchase ERP and CRM software as two different systems.

CRM ERP Software, Part II

ERP software is purchased in order to support business processes and functions while CRM software is bought to support the recruitment and subsequent retention of customers.  While this tactic works, research has shown that as stand-alone systems these two will not provide as many benefits as purchasing a CRM ERP Software system that can integrate customer data with other departments such as sales, marketing, and billing. Intertwining customer data into the ERP system guarantees that information across a variety of business processes are turned from raw data into useful intelligence that allows businesses to map inventory cycles based on customer preferences, and prepare for what customers will buy. The definite outcome of such a strategy is a more cost-effective and streamlined operation with increased profit.

There are a myriad of CRM ERP Software packages available today. Vendors SAP and Oracle are considered the market leaders, by far. Research reveals that SAP is extremely attractive to companies that already use SAP as their ERP solution.  These companies have integrated their software systems and are getting the most value for their money. Oracle, on the other hand, has four popular software solutions: Siebel; Oracle e-Business Suite CRM; PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM; and Oracle CRM on Demand.  These can all be easily integrated with existing systems of Oracle ERP software. In addition, businesses can look to other vendors, such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics, Sword Ciboodle, and Pegasystems, which are gaining market share with new CRM ERP software packages that have recently hit the market.
