Finding an open source solution to your enterprise software needs should not too difficult. There are numerous open source vendors, so making an open source ERP comparison is no different than comparing commercial software packages. As is the case with any search for selection, you will have to do your homework and make comparisons based on what your needs are. If yours is a small business, you are probably thinking about your budget and how far you can extend it. Perhaps that’s why you’re considering open source software. If t you have staff within your company which are technically inclined and can work with software code, this might be the right approach for you. 

You can find a company that will give you a free version of the source code and you can then tweak the code so that it conforms to your working preferences. You can also purchase a proprietary version of the software which provides more service and support. Open source software is available for numerous industries and business, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a package that will work for your business. From a budgetary standpoint, your main consideration may be free code or purchased version.

Whichever way you decide to go with open source and making an open source ERP comparison, you will also need to think about your application modules and how they will be set up. One of the nice things about Web-based, hosted enterprise software is that you can get access to all of the software you need.
