Logic Data ERP Consulting Hot

Logic Data ERP Consulting
Your implementation determines whether you have an ERP system that adds value to your company and your bottom line, or end up with a glorified invoicing system or worse. LogicData's years of experience and repeated, demonstrable successes can help ensure you achieve success. At LogicData we have always understood that your company is unique: your people, products and clients combine to create a unique culture and set of procedures that set you apart. For this reason we know that no two implementations are the same. Your project must be designed to meet your goals, with the resources available. LogicData's Focused Implementation Methodology ensures the correct resources are brought to bear in deploying your ERP system. We can help you select the best method of implementation after helping to analyze your internal resources, current systems, scope of deployment and management goals.

However, each company deploying SyteLine has varying levels of internal staff resources available to execute the project. There are fundamentally two types of implementations: o Self Directed o Externally Managed Self Directed: In a self-directed deployment, an internal team of key employees is assigned to the project for a significant portion of their available time, with a full-time team leader who is responsible for project management. The team members are trained by LogicData's consultants on the ERP system's functionality and work together through the pilots to determine the best procedures for using the system to meet the goals and unique requirements of the company. The team is responsible for identifying process changes required in the company, software changes needed to meet the company's needs, developing written procedure documents and for training the user community on those documents. The company's IT department becomes a critical player on the team for customizing reports, managing modifications and converting data from the legacy system. The self directed implementation is typical selected by companies that meet the following criteria: * Availability of an internal project manager who can dedicate him/herself to the project full time * Availability of internal subject matter experts who can dedicate themselves to the project 40-60% of the time. * Prior experience successfully deploying ERP systems Externally Managed: In an externally managed deployment, LogicData's consultants take the lead in the project. An internal team is still appointed, but their time requirements are significantly reduced as the LogicData's consultants are responsible for project management, process change, software modifications, data migration, procedure development, documentation and training. The externally managed form of implementation is typically selected when companies have the following issues and restrictions: * Key employees that would serve as team members are critical to day-to-day operations. * Key employees/team members are hands-on managers and cannot turn functions over to juniors or temporary hires. * The company has limited experience deploying ERP systems, or has failed in past attempts. * There is no one in the company with project management experience available to direct the implementation. * A cost analysis demonstrates that it is more profitable for the firm to keep the key managers focused on the business and pay outside consultants to deploy the system. It is likely that a hybrid of these two methods will be developed unique to your company's resources and goals, using a combination of internal resources and LogicData's experts to successfully execute the project.
